Mingwen (Kevin) Wang

Mingwen (Kevin) Wang, Ph.D. is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of extensive R&D experience in organic synthesis and the pharmaceutical industry. He has served as CEO of ACS Scientific Inc. (Advanced Chemical Synthesis) since 2009, with a primary research focus on the design and synthesis of novel building blocks for drug discovery. Dr. Wang was the founder of PPM Biopharma Inc., which focused on developing therapies for cancer and autoimmune diseases to address unmet medical needs. He is also an experienced process chemist and CMC expert in small-molecule development.

He earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry, specializing in asymmetric synthesis, from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He completed postdoctoral training at Tulane University in transition metal–catalyzed organic synthesis and at the University of Kansas in the total synthesis of chimeric natural products for cancer therapeutics. Prior to his current roles, he worked at several pharmaceutical companies as both a medicinal chemist and process chemist.

Dr. Wang is deeply committed to community service and has played a key role in the establishment and management of the Berkeley Heights Huaxia Chinese School, serving as a founding member and chairman. Since 2023, he has been an Executive Committee member of E-CACS, where he has played an important role in resource development and fundraising
